Third Country Solutions for Refugees - Roadmap 2030

Roadmap 2030 cover

The Global Compact on Refugees mandated the development of the Three-Year Strategy (2019-2021) on Resettlement and Complementary Pathways to help increase resettlement spaces, expand the number of resettlement countries and improve the availability and predictability of complementary pathways and access to family reunifications for refugees. The Strategy outlined a long-term plan to enable the expansion of third-country solutions. It was the outcome of extensive consultations with States, civil society, refugees, national and international organizations, private sector and other actors.

The Third Country Solutions for Refugees: Roadmap 2030 builds on the objectives of the Strategy and reaffirms its long-term ambitions. It outlines updated enabling actions, key indicators to track progress, and activities to achieve the goal of having three million refugees access resettlement, complementary pathways, and family reunification by 2030.
