Video - Launch of the multistakeholder pledge on supporting family reunification

With the aim of helping at least one million refugees reunitewith their families by 2030, the Multistakeholder Pledge to Support Refugee Family Reunification will mobilize actors towards the overarching goal of ensuring every refugee can exercise their right to family unity and attain family reunification.

Hosted by RefugePoint, the virtual launch of the pledge took place on 24 October 2023. Opening remarks were offered by Gillian Triggs, UNHCR’sAssistant High Commissioner for Protection. Other speakers included the Africa Refugee-Led Network, DLAPiper, Miles4Migrants, Cultuur in Harmonie, OECD, and more, plus the announcement of a major philanthropic gift to support refugee family reunification.
