2025 UNHCR Executive Committee - 76th session

The Executive Committee of the High Commissioner's Programme (ExCom) meets in Geneva annually to review and approve the agency’s programmes and budget, advise on international protection and discuss a range of other issues with UNHCR and intergovernmental and non-governmental partners.

During ExCom, the NGO Side Event "From Tokenism to Transformation: How Refugee Leadership Is Redefining Localisation in Humanitarian System" will be held. Jean-Paul Kasika, Executive Director of RELON-Kenya, will speak at the side event about the work the Global Family Reunification Network has done to promote both meaningful refugee participation in global policymaking and, at the same time, localization through the leadership of RLOs in supporting refugee access to family reunification. 

The side event will be held on October 10 at the United Nations Palais in Geneva, Swizerland.
